Story

Imagine that on the morning of your wedding day, one of the most celebrate occasions in a lady's life, with all the preparations in place, something goes wrong, horribly wrong!

Now imagine that the you, the bride, gets abducted on that very morning by 3 men, raped by all of them and in your struggle to fight them off, get injured, stabbed in the stomach and eventually admitted in hospital. All this time, friends and family are waiting in church for the wedding, most importantly, your husband to be is waiting and has no clue what horror you have just gone through.

Needless to say, the wedding is canceled for that day to give way for your recovery. The groom in the abundance of love stays by your side till you recover and a new date is set for the wedding. The wedding happens and your married life kicks off.

But then …

29 days, yes, just 29 days into the marriage, your husband who is full of unconditional and without a doubt, out of this world for you passes away!

Can you imagine this happening to you? All that pain?

Well, for Terry Gobanga, this is exactly what happened and in this book, Crawling Out Of Darkness, she retells her ordeal, she pours out her heart, makes her life an open book for all to read.

She talks of her pain in detail, her doubts and fights in trying to make sense of all that happened to her, like many if not all of us would.

But that's not all the book is about! As the title of the book suggests, the book is about crawling out of this darkness of the heart, mind, spirit and soul into the light that is the realization that God is there with you despite.

To describe fully what the book is about would most probably fall short of the wealth of inspiration it holds as Terry walks you through her anticipation before the first wedding, the pain that she went through on the wedding day, the recovery, the joy of the second wedding and the pain of losing her husband. But just as engaging is how Terry talks of her “crawling” out of this state of despair into a light that now has a loving husband and a beautiful daughter and is strong enough to even share this incredible story that can only point to one thing GOD'S DIVINE HAND!
